Is this journal refillable?
Answer: No, it is not refillable, but it contains 400 pages, which is more than many journals out there. -

Can I use a fountain pen to write in this journal?
Answer: Yes, you can use a fountain pen on these acid-free, cotton pages. -

Are the pages lined or blank?
Answer: The pages are blank, providing flexibility to use it for writing or sketching. -

Is it actually 400 pages?
Answer: It is one hundred sheets of paper divided into five groups. The sheets are folded in half only once, which gives two hundred pages if you count the recto and verso as one page. If you count each side as one page, however, like you would when numbering the pages of a book, then yes there are four hundred pages. -

Will the journal lay flat when open for easier writing?
Answer: Not really, the leather binding is about 2 or 3/16 of an inch thick. In drawing, I have to hold the front cover open while drawing. The drawing paper/pages are of the handmade binding example, a number of sections of paper folded over to create a leaf, and about 5 of these to make up the whole number of pages. The paper is of a light off white or yellowish color, so this has to be taken into account depending on what your artistic needs are. Hope this helps... -

Answer: I had to find a bookbinder to make one that was refillable and 8.5 x 11. -

Answer: There has always been an ample amount of paper in the legacy journals I've ordered. Never a problem. -
