White Lily Unbleached Self Rising Flour is specifically milled from soft wheat and is ideal for baking southern style biscuits. The lower gluten ratio means the flour produces exceptionally soft and fluffy biscuits. The flour has added salt and baking powder to ensure that bread/biscuits will rise. The flour is not suitable for substitution in recipes that call for all-purpose flour. The shelf-life on White Lily flours is one year from the date of milling. Although the flour is quite pricey, the quality justifies the cost. The flour is not available in some regions, which makes it necessary to order online.
