Bu derlemeyle Orhan Kemal'in yaşam mücadelesinde yaşadıklarına tanıklık edilmesini sağlamak, ilerde onunla ilgili yapılacak araştırmalara kaynak oluşturacak bir çalışma yapmayı düşündüm. Yazdıklarım-Yazılanlar başlığı altında toplamayı uygun gördüm. Merakım ona yazılan mektuplara, Orhan Kemal'in ne yanıt verdiğiydi. Veya tam tersi olabilirdi.
