Answer: Steam function not good - got replacement but still not good so returned item -

Does this iron have a cumbersome weight or is it light?
Answer: How long is a piece of string?! I am male and find the weight factor quite comfortable for an iron. I would expect 'some' weight in order for the iron to function properly. My wife also finds it comfortable. I offer the thought that you should consider the function you need. A very light iron is going to need extra downward pressure to be effective. -

Answer: I am not aware that it does which is surprising as the last one I owned did. In the manual, it implies that it is on specific types only. -

Answer: I use tap water and have done for previous Philips steam irons. I live in a soft water area. -
